Introducing Our Daughters!

Introducing...
Nadia Eileen Lang, 5 years old
Nadia has been her nickname, short for Nadezhda, meaning "hope". We pray she will be full of hope, and that her hope will be in God.
We gave her the middle name Eileen after Andy's beloved maternal grandmother, who passed on last November. We already see in Nadia some of the same wonderful qualities Grandma Leenie had, such as a generous heart and being very organized.

Eliana Sophia Lang, 21 months
Eliana, a slight change from her Russian name Alyona, means "My God has answered me." Our God has answered us countless times along this adoption journey, and we pray Eliana too will come to know God in this way.
Sophia means "wisdom", a quality we hope for her to attain.

We thank God for these girls!

  1. Less than a week until we see you now!

Linda, you look so happy. I know you are already a wonderful mother. Adrew, I just love the story about you cooking with Nadia, and the pictures of it today. (You should keep that up...she'll always remember it. I can tell you that firsthand.)

Mom is so excited she can hardly sleep at night. Good thing you're coming home soon!

  3. Thanks so much for sharing these wonderful glimpses of the birth of a family of four. Glorious! We are so happy for all of you. May God be continuing to help you understand one another. I am quite certain that N and E feel loved. From your stories about how refined and well-behaved the girls are, I think that they will be wonderful examples to my children. :) Goodness, they will be good examples to me. We will pray you all safely home.
